Overview

Patrick Knapp, the newest member of Bounding Main, has diverse music interests and many years of music performance experience. Patrick has devoted the majority of his music career to (French) Horn performance with several ensembles around the Midwest including: Wisconsin Horn Quartet; Racine Symphony; Waukesha Area Symphonic Band; Kettle Moraine Symphony; Festival City Symphony; Sheboygan Symphony; Wisconsin Wind Orchestra; Concord Chamber Orchestra; South Dakota Symphony; Sioux City Symphony; Wisconsin Intercollegiate Honor Band; Waukesha Park and Rec Band; and Milwaukee Police Band. Patrick studied Horn with Don Mallette, Don Neau, Henry Canitz, Bob Hallat, Harry Clausen, Barry Benjamin, Bill Barnewitz, Wes Hatch, and Dr. Larry Harper. Currently, Patrick is studying voice with Allison Hull at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music.

Outside of music, Patrick is a dentist teaching full-time at the Marquette University School of Dentistry. Patrick also has a Master’s Degree in Dispute Resolution (and is more than happy inserting himself into most sword fights usually with little regard for the size and style of sword).

Patrick loves all things sea and, more often than not, misses the sea (and a few C’s from time to time). Should Patrick go missing there’s a good chance you’ll find him somewhere in Wisconsin’s Door County gazing lovingly upon Lake Michigan.
