Overview

Peter founded Baldrick’s Plan and sang with the band until late 2024, when he retired due to an ongoing lung condition. Peter still performs with singer and concertina player Alastair Brown and you will find him at various singarounds. We would like to thank Peter for creating this wonderful harmony group, giving us some excellent repertoire and beautiful harmonies.

We are deeply saddened that Peter Wray, our friend, and founder of Baldrick’s Plan, has passed away. Peter was a talented artist, musician and song writer. A kind-hearted man, with down to earth honesty. Peter had a strong sense of social justice which was reflected in the repertoire he brought to Baldrick’s Plan including many songs from his birthplace of the North East. Peter’s instinctive and intricate harmonies gave Baldrick’s Plan a unique sound, which we have carried forward since he stepped back last year. Peter will be much missed, but he lives on in our hearts, our harmonies and his songs.
