The Brest Maritime Festival returned in 2026 with over 1,000 ships and boats in Brest Harbor, it was a magnificent return for 500,000 event attendees!
The French Navy is celebrating its 400th anniversary all this year 2026. A highlight, Brest celebrates the Navy, was organised this summer at the port. Five days of festivities from July 10 to 14.
This Grand Fleet provided a unique opportunity to visit the most splendid vessels in the world and the learn about the different maritime cultures from around the globe, all in a musical and festive atmosphere: it takes place in July, every four years, in Brest.
It’s official, the maritime festivals of Brest will take place every three years, compared to four historically. The objective is to align with other maritime festivals, especially those of Rouen. “Mini” maritime festivals will also be organised in 2026 for the 400th anniversary of the National Navy.
This epic event ran on 12-17 July, 2024 and 10-14 July 2026 and is scheduled to return 9-14 July 2027.
