Overview

The sea song and shanty festival of La Hougue, Terre de Marins is held annually in the historic site of the Fort de la Hougue, at the end of the peninsula of Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, (Manche, North-West France).

The festival started in a small way in 2011, with four groups in a single day, the Festival de chants marins de Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue (Manche) built on its success to year-on-year to be able to offer most recently, eleven concerts by eight groups over two days during the 7th and 8th June 2025.

Organised by the twenty members of the Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue festival committee and about thirty volunteers, the program of the Terre de marins festival expects to receive around  3,000 spectators for the events.
