Overview

James Craig Shanties – Northwest does Southeast

At 7:00 on Thursday the 1st of October, 40 Degrees South will be on the James Tall Ship James Craig running a singing session with the theme of ‘North West visits South East’.
A Morris Side (called Hankies Gone Awry) from the Pacific Northwest USA happens to be visiting New South Wales for a get-together (called an Ale) in the Blue Mountains in late September, and many team members will be lingering on to take in the delights of Sydney Town. Sharing songs on the James Craig with 40 Degrees South (who have some personal connections with two of the dancers) and our other local singers should provide a unique experience all round – we might even get treated to a Morris dance or two!
It’s free, sort of – the Sydney Heritage Fleet always appreciate a donation for the running (and endless maintenance) of the ship. See you there!
