Connect with the maritime heritage of Kingston and the Great Lakes.

From shipwrecks and lighthouses to ecosystems and water quality, we invite you to explore Kingston’s unique history and the world’s largest inter-connected body of freshwater through our programs and exhibits.

Visit our storefront gallery, explore our collections or schedule an outreach program, we have something for everyone!

We’ve set upon a new journey.

Following two years of mechanical repairs and renovations to our Lobby and office, the Museum sailed home in October 2021 and reopened its doors to the public in November.

The project and move back is far from over as we move to Phase II of our restoration plan, focusing the on the renovation of gallery spaces, the Engine Room and the outdoor portion of the site. We are working to re-establish ourselves as a 21st-century museum along Kingston’s waterfront.

We invite you to explore our past and future.
