Overview
The Musée maritime du Québec (MMQ) is located along the St. Lawrence River, in Chaudière-Appalaches. He is the guardian of one of the richest collections from the maritime heritage of Quebec and Canada. More than 15,000 ancient artifacts, maps, books and documents are kept here.
Since 1975, the Musée maritime du Québec has been recognized by the Ministry of Culture and Communications. Since 2019, it has also been one of Quebec’s accredited museum institutions. This title guarantees the quality of the establishment to visitors. It also indicates that international standards in terms of museological practices as well as heritage planning, protection and presentation are respected.
