The Northern California Pirate Festival is an outdoor, environmental, Hollywood-pirate themed event, held annually.  The event has been successfully run since 2010, with an interruption because of the Covid pandemic.  The event is scheduled to return in 2023*.  In addition to its musical entertainment there are merchandise vendors as well as food booths.

This festival has hosted a number of top, traditional maritime musicians, notably including Tom Lewis and Skip Henderson.  Another notable, environmental theater group is The Seadogs, which originated at the Southern California Renaissance Faire.

Curated History

* Upon checking this event's official website on 4 Apr 2026 this text was discovered, "Unfortunately our 2024 'new' location did not work out, and we had no time to find a new site to have a festival this year.  We believe we have found a new and even better site, and we hope to have an announcement sometime in the late fall.  Keep a weathered eye out!"  So it appears that the most recent edition of this event was in 2023.
