Come and enjoy the first (hopefully of many) Pirates of Penzance Sea Shanty Festival at The Wren & Raven, Market Place, Penzance in Cornwall, on Friday & Saturday, 9th & 10th October. Runs from 5pm till late on Friday and 4pm till late on Saturday. Admission free, fully accessible, bar & (sea) dog-friendly.
DRESS LIKE A PIRATE! (optional!) and enjoy on Friday :
Baldrick’s Plan, Wild Blue & Yonder, The Meadowlarks, Blockhouse Chainers, Sudden Squall and Pilchard the Pirate
and on Saturday:
Wild Blue & Yonder, Djazz Celtica, Rumbellion, Pensans Morris (twice!) and Sudden Squall.
We will end the Saturday session with a lively Cornish SHOUT led by Robin Turner of Wild Blue & Yonder and hope that – if everything goes well – this could be the start of a long tradition of which you can say “I was there when it all started”
