Overview
The Shrewsbury Folk Festival is a major, annual festival of folk and world music and traditional dance held in the town of Shrewsbury in Shropshire, England.
It takes place over four days on and around the UK Late Summer bank holiday weekend (usually the last weekend in August) held since 2007 at the West Midlands Showground. It attracts major artists, both international and domestic and while not a shanty/sea song festival often has a small maritime element.
