Thunder Bay Maritime Festival

The Thunder Bay Maritime Festival is presented by Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary and Wolverine State Credit Union.  This exciting event is free to attend, located at the Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Center at 500 West Fletcher Street, ALpena, Michigan 49707.  Join in lots of fun-filled family activities, cheer for the paddlers at the Cardboard Boat Regatta, enjoy music from Great Lakes area maritime-themed musicians, and taste local favorites like Rogers CIty Kiwanis’ famous whitefish sandwiches.

This event last ran in 2019 and has been suspened in consideration of visitor safety because of the Covid pandemic.

PLEASE NOTE: The LADY MICHIGAN will still offer cruises all day (10 am, 1 pm, and 4 pm) on July 4th and offer a special fireworks cruise.

Lady Michigan tickets are available for purchase now with daily cruises starting on May 22 and continuing through early October, as weather allows.
