Overview
Southampton Salty Sea Dogs sing old and new, unaccompanied sea shanties and songs of the sea. The shanties are learnt by ear, with some unique harmonies and always with great enthusiasm. 2025 will be the 10th year that the crew have been performing.
We perform across Southampton and the surrounding area. We play festivals, charity fund raisers, care homes, clubs, pubs, for corporates…basically any where that loves a good time. In 2024 we performed 47 gigs and sang over 800 sea shanties.
We are a friendly and supportive crew of some 35 men of various ages, all with a love of singing.
