Tales from the Sea – Gosport Sea Shanty Festival

Tales from the Sea – Sea Shanty Festival came to Gosport on the 16th May 2026 as part of the successful long running Gosport Marine Festival – a brilliant community event focused on getting children out on the water. It’s been running successfully for several years and brings in a great family audience.

There were 15 groups/artists taking part – a fantastic start for this second shanty festival event!

The sea shanties were performed over 8 locations along the Gosport Waterfront.

Gosport is very near to Portsmouth and its historic dockyard.
