Scuttlebutt Shanty’s inaugural two-day Ilfracombe Shanty Festival, June 2026 took off with a bang with 35 groups performing in 13 venues
A large number of shanty groups and performers attended the event, which embraced sea shanties of all kinds, and the pirate community and visitors from across the UK were warmly welcomed to what is hoped will be an annual event.
