Overview
The 9th St. Ives Shanty Shout took place in Cornwall 21st and 22nd November 2025
The festival is organised in collaboration with Friends of Edward Hain. St Ives Shanty Shout was started in 2016 by members of Bamaluz Bootleggers. They invited some friends to come and sing with them and raise some money for a good cause.
Bamaluz Bootleggers might not sing together anymore and venues have come and gone along the way, but the core idea proved to be very popular and is now an annual event.
From 2023 we have chosen to partner with the Friends of the Edward Hain Centre who support health and wellbeing in St Ives
Around 30 groups came our 8th St Ives Shanty Shout (2024) with the same number appearing most recently.
