Alternative Quay

Alternative Quay is an up-and-coming folk trio, consisting of Becky Luscombe, Kevin Frost, and Polly Luscombe.  Kevin started dancing and singing with Victory Morris in the early 80s, and was a regular at the Broadside Folk Club for many years.  He now dances with Seven Champions Molly Dancers from Kent.  Sisters Becky and Polly Luscombe are of course the beautiful and talented daughters of singer Pete Luscombe.  Alternative Quay started singing together some five years ago, and in the last couple of years they have achieved popularity and fame at folk festivals, including the Southdowns Music Festival, the Wickham Festival and the Gloucester Shanty Festival.  Strong songs with a maritime flavor and expertly sung, their first folk club performance was in 2023 at the Chichester Folk Song Club.  If you like sea-related songs, beautifully sung, with beautiful harmonizing, too, make a point to hear them.
