Mariners Mates

Mariners Mates is a not for profit sea shanty singing group based ion Sutton in Surrey, raising money for good causes such as the RNLI.

We are members of Sutton Mariner’s Sailing Club and formed Mariners Mates in memory of our friend Richard who brought us together to play music, a true mariner, we are forever, his mates. We play a mix of shanties and sea songs, new and old, some classics, a few deep cuts and some with our very own twist. Having played two local festivals, a few open mics, Christmas dos, pontoon parties and even an impromptu 93rd birthday, we are experienced, enthusiastic amateurs with something for everyone.
