Overview
Raise a glass, join the chorus, and experience the sound of the Sussex coast with The Selsey Shantymen. We bring traditional sea shanties, maritime songs, and rousing choruses to audiences across Sussex and beyond, delivering performances packed with energy, humour, and plenty of opportunities to sing along.

The group goes from strength to strength, having performed 2 sell-out gigs at the Minerva Theatre, Chichester and the release of our second album. We’ve supported shanty festivals at Maldon & Gosport. Our next gigs see a return to the South Downs Festival in Bognor Regis & Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.
Other major events have been 2 tours to Oostende at Anchor; a major maritime festival in Belgium where over 200,000 people visited the event and Chichester Gala.
We continue to raise funds for Selsey RNLI and Selsey First Responders, along with St Wilfrid’s Hospice, The Mayor of Chichester’s Charities and probably a couple of special cases along the way.
