Overview
The Steam Town Shanty Crew are a vibrant, mixed-voice, a cappella sea shanty group based in the historical railway town of Eastleigh, UK alongside the world famous River Itchen chalk stream.
Celebrating traditional maritime songs with fresh harmonies, community spirit, and welcoming inclusivity we formed in early 2023. The Crew rehearses every Monday night at their home port – the Steam Town Brew Co -where the weekly shanty session welcomes singers of all abilities to join in (due to popularity and space constraints we ask you to for contact us ahead of time).
Supporting community events and becoming regular fixtures at local festivals and showcases the Crew have quickly built a reputation for their rousing harmonies, inclusive ethos and infectious energy. Their lively sets bring audiences together in a spirit of song, laughter, and shared heritage.
