The Ellesmere Port Maritime Music Festival was associated with Shanty UK, whose URL was www.shanty.org.uk, but is, as of 29 Feb 2024, not in operation.
The event was launched in 2011 by event managers, Derek and Julia Batters, themselves maritime music performers under the name of “Trim Rig and a Doxy.”
In 2012 and 2013 the event featured “Groups from The Netherlands, Belgium and the U.K.” There were additional evening concerts on Friday and Saturday nights.
The event continued until Easter 2015, as promoted by the Bromborough Folk Club.
