Folk im Kämmerei-Quartier

Folk im Kammerei-Quartier will be held on 23-24 August, 2025.

Three days of Irish & Celtic Music in the Kämmerei-Quartier of Bremen-Blumenthal.

Just under 7 weeks until the Blumentaler MarktTach and Folk in the Kämmerei Quartier opens its doors for the first time on the site of the former wool combing mill. We will shorten the waiting time for you until then by introducing the market traders and the bands.
It’s a bit of Scarborough Fair and a bit of my beloved Dirty Old Town. I still remember well when I came to Blumenthal for work in the early 80s and walked past the stand that was there at the time and was enveloped by an unknown scent. No, not Lagerfeld or Dior – it was the scent of washing sheep’s wool. I can still smell it today and somehow miss it.
We can’t bring the scent back to you, but we will breathe new, fresh, young life into the historic building ensemble.
So come from near and far and let’s have a wonderful party!

From Friday to Sunday, folk bands from Germany and Europe will perform on the historic site of the former Bremen wool combing mill.
As in previous years, the event will again take place in 2025 without admission.

This event was previously known as Folk im Park, and was held at  “Wätjens Park” in the North of Bremen on  the21st of August 2022 at 2 p.m.  That was the 6th edition under that name.
