Tales from the Sea – Gosport Sea Shanty Festival

Tales from the Sea – Sea Shanty Festival came to Gosport on the 17th May 2025 as part of the successful long running Gosport Marine Festival – a brilliant community event focused on getting children out on the water. It’s been running successfully for several years and brings in a great family audience.

There were 14 groups/artists comprising of 98 performers taking part – a fantastic start for this inaugural event!

The Sea Shanties were performed over 5 locations along the Gosport Waterfront at:

• The The Smile Stage at Timespace 
• The Creek at Haslar Marina
• The Lightship at Haslar Marina
• Lakeside cafe and bar at the Cockle Pond
• Falklands Garden by the ferry terminal

Gosport is very near to Portsmouth and its historic dockyard.
